Bass Fishing Team
The Hargrave High School Fishing Team spent 8 hours competing on a beautiful Saturday on Lake Livingston this past weekend. We kicked off this first tournament of the Texas High School Bass Association’s season in full gear placing 2nd out of 25 schools and 129 boats. Team “Keepin’ it Reel,” Garrett Stevens and Ruston Breaux, caught their limit of 5 fish weighing in at 14.22 lbs., coming in 2nd place out of those 129 individual teams! “4 Bass Limit,” Matthew Dorcz and Tait Babin, caught 7.01 lbs., coming in 18th place; “Hawg Wild” Dalton Mensik and Jagger Vaughn were able to catch a 4.62 pounder, which almost got them Big Bass; “Hawg Hunterz,” Josh Edwards and Colby Leps, were able tohang on to the top 50% with their fish; and “Bass Bros,” Seth Linthicum and Ryland Breaux, contributed to the team and have quite a story to tell. We had a total of 5 teams participate, 4 of those teams placed in the top 50% and all contributed to our 2nd place status. This is a huge accomplishment for us and we are so proud of them!

HOSA participated in in the annual Adapt-A-Beach on Saturday, September 24th.

Thank you, Mrs. Graceanna Fletcher, for bringing your students over to present to our students on dental hygiene. They did an awesome job! We enjoyed the presentations and the goodies.
