Summer Feeding Program

Huffman ISD is pleased to announce that a summer feeding program will extend our present curbside grab-n-go service at the back of Huffman Elementary. Service will continue from Tuesday, May 26th through Friday, July 3rd. A combined lunch and breakfast pick-up, Monday-Friday, 11:00-1:00, will be offered. Meals are free and provided for all children 18 and under. Children must be present to receive meals.

All HHS seniors are invited to join us on the football field to have one last time together at the school and to commemorate the end of their senior year. Seniors should bring a blanket to sit on to help with social distancing while they watch a slideshow. Masks are mandatory and will be provided. Chick-fil-A will be available, so seniors should make plans to attend!

Senior Class Officer Positions for 2020-2021

If any current juniors are interested in running for a Senior Class Officer position, please complete and email the attached application to Mrs. Pack (kpack@huffmanisd.net) no later than Thursday, May 28, 2020 at 6:00 pm.  No late submissions will be accepted.  If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Pack.

HHS Medication Pick Up

HHS Medication Pick Up:

Tuesday 4/28/20 8:00 am-10:00 am
Wednesday 4/29/20 2:00 pm-4:00 pm

How to pick up Medications on these dates:
1. Pull into school parking lot (student parking lot entrance will be open) drive to front of school.
2. Once in front of school call Nurse Mollie's office 281-324-7509, give her the name of student you are picking up medication for.
3. Remain in car and Nurse Mollie will bring medication to your car.

If you are unable to pick up medications on the dates above, please e-mail Nurse Mollie at mhanna@huffmanisd.net. Nurse Mollie will make arrangements to assist with a alternative solution. These will be the final 2 days available for medication pick up. All medications not picked up will be discarded just like at the end of the school year as we do not keep medications from year to year. Thank you for your patience and assistance through all this.

Important Dates for Seniors

Cap and Gown Pick-up: Tuesday, April 21st from 9:00-12:00 in the Hargrave High School parking lot. If you have not ordered your cap and gown, and do so by April 20th at Balfour.com, they will deliver it on the 21st to you. If you do not order online, Balfour will have a limited number of caps and gowns available to sell on April 21st; however, they will only except exact cash purchases of $65.

Graduation Dates:
Option 1: Saturday, May 30th at 4:00 PM at Ford Park in Beaumont
Option 2 (if needed): Saturday, June 27th at 4:00 PM at Ford Park in Beaumont

Prom: Saturday, June 19th at Chateau Cocomar
More information will be sent out at a later time.

Extension of COVID-19 Stay-at-Home ruling to May 4

Update on COVID-19:  Huffman ISD schools will continue online learning and remote operations through May 4, 2020 in alignment with Governor, County Judge, and Mayor stay-home/work-safe orders that were announced today.  Our Grab-n-Go meal distribution will continue as is throughout this crisis to students and community members under the age of 18.  The Houston Food Bank will also continue to deliver food weekly for distribution to meet our community needs.  All facilities and schools will remain closed to the public.
