Mr. Zamarron

My name is Matt Zamarron.  Students often call me Mr. Zam or Mr. Z.  I am a CTE Engineering and math teacher for Hargrave High School.  I also am a sponsor of the Robotics Competition Team and co-sponsor for the Technology Student Association (TSA).  I have 10 years of engineering experience and look forward to bringing real world experience along with my passion to inspire students to pursue higher learning in STEM subjects.  I went to Lamar University and majored in Industrial Engineering.  I also have two Master's degrees: Business Administration and Technology Management from Texas A&M University - Commerce, Texas campus.

I have 3 kids from ages 4 to 12: 2 sons, 1 daughter.  My wife is an instructional teacher coach for science in Dayton ISD.  I'm a big home town sports guy, especially football:  Go Texans!  I'm a technology and computer enthusiast and my favorite hobby is photography, which I started about 2 years ago.  My favorite movie franchises are Star Wars, Star Trek, and Marvel comics. One of my favorite hobbies is photography.  In fact, I enjoy it so much that I've created a photography business called Zam Photography.
