What an exciting year this is going to be! I am a Sophomore and Junior English teacher at Hargrave High School and I am very honored to be working with a great group of English teachers and awesome administrators. For the past nine years, I have taught high school English and enjoy teaching students as well as learning from them. All of my students are important to me and I want to see each of them succeed. My goal is to create a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to learning while having fun along the way. I do expect my students to work and be responsible young men and ladies.
A little personal info about me...I am from a small northeast Texas town where I taught at my Alma Matter for five years. I moved to the Houston area two years ago to be closer to my daughter and her husband. Before moving back to my hometown six years ago, I lived in the southeast Texas area and taught in small little community on the beach in Galveston County. I have three grown children, Derek, Emily, and Dalton and a wonderful son-in-law, Brett. I have an awesome man in my life and together we enjoy spending time with our kids, camping, going to the beach, and quality time together. I enjoy sports and try my best to support my students by attending the sports they play. I cannot express enough how excited I am to be in a wonderful district filled with teachers and administrators who are excited about teaching kids!
