Current School Year Information

Welcome to Hargave High School’s Army Junior ROTC.

The high caliber of students who join our Battalion, the instructor cadre, and the support of the school administration, faculty, and military community are what makes us the best in the Houston Area. Our mission is to make better citizens out of our cadets.  Army JROTC is NOT a recruiting effort for military service.

  Our Objectives:
a. Appreciation of the ethical values and principles that underlie good citizenship, which
includes integrity, responsibility and respect for constituted authority.
b. Development of leadership potential with the abilities to live and work cooperatively with
others.
c. Ability to think logically and to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
d. Appreciation of the importance of physical fitness in maintaining good health.
e. Knowledge of the effects and dangers of substance abuse, ways to resist pressures to try
drugs and help others avoid.
f. Development of mental management abilities including goal setting visualization and
positive self talk.
g. The instill of basic life skills needed going into post-education lives.

For those cadets who are interested in participating in competitions, we practice Monday to Thursday from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
